Town Agency Service Update Coronavirus

The Hibernian Legal Town Agency team continue to provide our services as much as possible in accordance with the current service status of the Courts. Many Court sittings have been adjourned and certain Court services are running with delays due to reduced staffing at the Courts. We are however still attending Court daily in particular to file and issue documents.

Issuing Documents at the Courts Dublin

We are regularly issuing summonses and issuing motions for clients at the Courts. For the issuance of motions where we would usually be able to advise clients on the latest date that motions are returnable for, we are currently finding that the dates are changing daily due to adjournments.

Filing Documents

We are in the Courts daily filing documents such as subpoenas and affadavits. We are advising clients that there is a slight delay in the Courts due to the COID-19 arrangements. Documents are still being filed but it might take a day or two for receipt of same document.

Emergency Consent Orders

The Courts announced on Monday that during the current COVID-19 Court arrangements, emergency consent orders will be made in the High Court without the presence of the parties concerned. The orders can be emailed in as long as they contain consent from both parties and a copy of the consent will be placed on the court file.

Please get in touch if you would like to find out about our Town Agency services and how to open an account with us. We are answering the phone lines between 9am and 5.30pm. Or you can send an email and we will endeavour to respond within the hour.
