New Procedure for the Circuit Courts

Published: May 21, 2019

Certificates of Readiness are now required for Civil Proceedings.

A certificate of readiness to proceed to trial should be completed, signed and filed in the Court Office (Civil) by the party/parties seeking to set the proceedings down for trial before a notice of trial or a notice for the fixing of a trial is lodged and served.

Certificate of Readiness is required to be signed by one of the following:

  • Counsel for the party/parties seeking trial,
  • or where Counsel is not instructed, the solicitor for the party/parties seeking trial
  • or the party/parties seeking trial in person if unrepresented
